How to use Crest Whitestrips Supreme? I should not brush before right? How about after 30 minutes of applying the strip? How many hours before I can brush my teeth?

Also.. I am pretty worried about using it for the first time, I have rather yellowish teeth because of drinking too much soda, teas and coffee. I have whiter teeth on the insides.

But one time, my boyfriend noticed that the bottoms of my teeth are transparent. Could I have a "thin teeth"?

Should I still use Whitestrips?
I don’t think I have sensitive gums… it’s not really that bad. I have small rough edges on the bottoms too. I have the tendency to grind my front teeth whenever I think my pets are cute.

Kassondra replied: "I’d say it’s probably alright to brush your teeth an hour or so beforehand. Also, you should probably brush your teeth directly after removing the strips in order to get rid of any remaining gel on your gums/teeth.

If you’re worried about whether you should be using the strips, I suggest talking to your dentist before beginning the system.

Better safe than sorry :) Happy whitening :) "

J♥S replied: "You have thin enamel. If it is really bad you should talk to a dentist. Also Crest puts bleach into their products(like all the other whiteners) but it seems stronger to most people. If you have sensitive gums or really thin enamel you should not use it without a dentists approval. Why not try that listerine whitener instead? It is less intense, and while that means it will take longer to achieve the desired results, you will also be less likely of permanently damaging your teeth"

dental_hygienist replied: "1. When it says don’t brush before, it’s because it needs that thin invisible layer (called pellicle) to be on your teeth. You can use them as soon as 10 minutes after brushing. The Pellicle layer forms back very quickly after brushing. It’s just a protein layer and the white strips use this layer for absorption of the whitening agent into your teeth.

2. You can brush afterwards and I would just to get the gel off.

3. Try to avoid soda, tea, coffee, etc for at least an hour after whitening.

4. Your teeth are transparent at the bottom? To you mean at the tip or bitting edges of the teeth? That’s more common. Do you whiten a lot? Whitening should not be over-used! Using whitening toothpastes constantly is also not recommended. For the most part, over-the-counter whitening is safe to use, but you might want to check with your dentist first. If your teeth get really sensitive (to air or cold) after a couple whitening treatments, then you probably do have thin enamel. The whitener won’t harm the enamel per se, but it can make your teeth much more senstitive than you want them to be.

I would always run everything by your dentist. Also, whitening won’t whiten fillings. So if you have any tooth-colored fillings in the front teeth, be careful that you don’t over whiten your teeth so the filling material stands out. Just a tip.

Hope this was helpful to you."

crest whitestripes supreme? does anyone know how to use crest whitestrips supreme? Am I suppose to brush and floss before putting them on? Do I brush and floss after taking them off? help!

jenivive replied: "brush after taking off."

cjsu replied: "The chemical makes your teeth very sensitive. I’d suggest brushing and flossing, and WAITING for about 30 minutes (and not eating anything in the meantime!) and then using the whitening strips.

I’ve tried doing it the other ways – either right before or right after, and both times my teeth were WAY too sensitive!"

How long does it take to see results on supreme crest whitestrips? I’ve used the regular, pro, and now trying advanced-I get to where i use it for only a few days straight then once a week or two so I need something to work great right away and then gradually keep it up as I’m very busy. SO how many uses does it take to REALLY see results with supreme? thanks

Hikari replied: "About 3 days."

how long should i wait after getting my braces off to use whitening strips? I just got my braces off yesterday.
I’ll be using Crest Whitestrips Supreme.
Should I wait a few days before using the whitestrips?
Will it damage my gums if I dont wait?

gymnast1111 replied: "It wont damage your gums, but wait a few days, because braces can irritate the inside of the lip."

Erin replied: "use them now now now now or else u will get gum disease and other horrible conditions even braces again for 2 moer years"

aJezzy replied: "Wait a few weeks actually.
Your gums have to get used to the amount of plague, and all that other crap.
It’d be bad and useless to start right away.
Wait 2 weeks."

Asia R replied: "if you use white strips for more than a year it will and can dissolve your gums it happened to my cousin now her gums are very ugly with little holes all in them do not you white strips"

Kayla replied: "I don’t see why it would hurt, but I would wait probably two weeks just to be safe or If your gums aren’t sore then you should be fine. I know my teeth were sore a few days after I got my braces off."

SassNFab replied: "Congratulations!!! Oh it must be amazing to finally have those things off. I’d say wait a few days just to let your enamel get used to being fully exposed. I use Whitestrips, too..they’re amazing. No, it doesn’t damage your gums. You’ll have white teeth within days. Yay=)"

Do Crest SUPREME Whitestrips really work? Hi, has anyone used them and actually got a good result.. ive started using them for about 5 days and i cant tell if they look better.. do they make your teeth actually white of a dull white? and how long should i keep going for to get a good result….

I really want white teeth but cheaply =] lol

Joe S replied: "Follow the instructions. They work, and you’ll notice the difference after it’s done with.

You can purchase another box if you’re not satisfied, but I’d recommend using the target brand. They work just as well, and they’re cheaper."

Lindsay replied: "Yes, but I found one that works a lot better that makes your teeth brighter and whiter."

Timespan between two packs of Crest Whitestrips? Hi!

I’ve just finished using the "Crest Whitestrips Premium" system, and had pretty good results. However, I now want to use the "Supreme" system as it is 30mins for 7 days (opposed to twice a day 30mins for 7 days on Premium). However, how long do I need to leave before starting the Supreme ones?

I read it’s safe to use two systems per year, but not how how much time needs to be left between them?

Also, is Supreme the strongest whitestrips available?

Thanks !!

LX replied: "72 hours, but these things dont work, your teeth go back to its old color in a few days and sometimes darker and the teeth become sensitive"

Questions about Crest Whitestrips Supreme..? I recently got my braces off and am looking to whiten my teeth a lot (after 7 years of braces, my teeth really need it). I have no cavities/tooth sensitivity. Should I use this product? If so, is it available in supermarkets? Also, how much does it cost?

Gail replied: "I was told that the only safe product to use for whitening your teeth are from a dentist. The strips soften the enamel on your teeth which can lead to deterioration. I would ask the dentist first."

senorrobertoe replied: "those strips dont work, if you want good stuff your gonna have to see the dentist and pay for it."

Dannnnce replied: "I’ve heard mixed things, but even getting teeth whitened by the dentist or of any sort with soften the enamel. But the truth is, you could say the same thing about swimming being bad for your skin. Nothing will leave the human being absolutely flawless, but I guess it couldn’t hurt to ask your dentist.

In general though, I’ve met a lot of people who use the crest strips with no complaints and they look great"

Brice replied: "It’s completely optional if you want to use them or not. Yes, they will get your teeth whiter. They don’t cost that much, maybe $20.00 – $30.00 per kit. you should be able to buy some in any supermarket.

Just put them on your teeth, and as they start to dissolve, they will stain your teeth, but they stain them WHITE! =)

*Hope this Helps*"

medsourceann replied: "Yes, use Crest whitestrips! When I got my braces off, I wanted white teeth so bad but I didn’t want to pay the ridiculous amount of money at the dentist’s office. I started using whitestrips and they helped my smile so much! I started to see a real difference in the shade of my teeth after just a few days of using them. You can find these at supermarkets but the cheapest I’ve found them is at-%252d-40-each.html. For about two weeks’ or so worth of whitestrips costs around $22, it really is an awesome deal for such great results. Try them out, I’m sure you’ll love them! Good luck!"

How long do you have to wait to eat after using whitestrips? i just got crest whitestrips supreme from the dentist, he said everyday for an hour. how long do i have to wait to eat or drink after this and also do i brush my teeth after or just wipe away the gel?

Queen-Amina replied: "To be honest with you, I encourage you to find another brand of whitenening methods firstly. Crest Whitestrips has been rated and researched to be the less effective whitening plan, but its up to you. I have also heard sensitivity is very common so depending on how your teeth feel, you will know when to eat/drink. You should be able to do it right after, and I dont think you should keep in the strips for that long. Also, you should use them before you go to bed so you dont have the hassle of eating and drinking after."

spongebobrogers replied: "Brush gently to remove the gel, preferrably with a sensitivity toothpaste to prevent tooth sensitivity, or get a fluoride rinse. Brush gently. If you use the toothpaste, brush, spit, and do NOT rinse/eat/drink for 30 minutes. If you get the rinse, after gentle brushing swish, spit, do not rinse/eat/drink for 30 minutes. This will prevent tooth sensitivity and after this eat/drink away."

Has anyone ever tried this with crestwhitestips? Okay my cousin said (dental lady person) that if im gonna get the crest whitestrips supreme (14% hydrogen peroxide) 84 count, i should use 2 strips on the top and bottom. the reason why is that 1 strip only covers the front 6 teeth, she said take 2 and place them where it will cover your full top and bottom teeth. what do yall think about it? how much difference will the 14% supreme kind make to my teeth?

The Chef-dishin out the answers! replied: "Waste of money!
You will go through them too quickly that way.
Plus, if you’re whitening, then all you care about is the LOOK of your teeth.
People cannot tell if your back teeth are white or not unless they are like absolutely horrible."

TheWizQuiz replied: "they’ve only to be known as to whiten your teeth for a while, not much of a long lasting effect. I don’t suggest you buying them that much, but a little is never bad."

jessjess0310 replied: "it will make a huge difference, cause you will be whitening more teeth. if when you smile you see more than the front six teeth then that would be a good idea for you. but if you don’t see more than that, then don’t worry about it. whitening your teeth is more of a vanity issue than a health issue. so if you only see the six teeth when you smile then don’t worry about using two. if you see more than that then use two. won’t hurt anything. hope that helps. take care."

flemings replied: "Crestwhitestrips are good. It’s effectivenes depends wheather u know how to use it.

You can use crest tooth whitening strip every six months just as required to maintain whiteness. You may need to use 2 boxes of crest tooth whitening strip if your teeth is highly discolored for the first time to get the desired result.

Crest Whitening Strips Supreme ? I was reading the leaflet and it says "this product is not intended for children under 18. We recommend a lower strength Crest Whitestrips for children 12-18 years." I’m only 16, and I lost my last baby tooth about 2 years ago so my adult teeth havent been around all that long.

How can I use them? If I put them on for about 20 mins (it says to do 30 mins) and do it every other day or have a couple of days breaks between each strip would this minimize the strength of them?

Racer replied: "The Supreme kit is a strong one, but it still may be ok for your teeth, but I’m not certain. I’ve used it many times. Using the Supreme kit for 20 mins versus the 30 mins might be ok…but don’t do it every other day… I don’t think that would work at all."

atlbabycakes replied: "Call your dentist because my dentist was recommending me a specific one once I get my braces off…I think the supreme strips might be for people with really yellow teeth…I recommend asking a dentist.

Hope this helped, coming from a 16 year old as well!"
